are darker, on account of the cyborgs and robots having night-vision and other sensory enhancements. Personally, I see the opportunity for storytelling: resistance hideouts are well-lit, (as are a few of the areas patrolled by humanoid mutants) while areas more thoroughly controlled by S.H.O.D.A.N. I thin it would be nice to see a middle ground between the two. I can kinda get behind the complaints about lighting, but I'm more inclined to call the unity demo overly-bright than I am to call the unreal demo overly-dark. While I haven't had a chance to actually sit down and play the demo, I've been able to compare some of the gameplay footage, and while that effect is still there, it's just not as visceral.

You could feel the modules sliding into the hacker's skull, and it was amazing. The new sound design isn't bad by any stretch - it's quite good, in fact - but the original demo was just insane. I think the only thing that was really lost is some of the sound design. The newer environments also look significantly more claustrophobic than that of the demo, which is a plus, in my opinion. I'm kind of a sucker for the overdone neon-cyberpunk look, and the new UI does a much better job staying faithful to the original style while still removing the clunk. Honestly, the unity demo looks much less detailed compared to the new demo, and I'm kind of a fan of the new style. I like it being a bit more dark and colorful, the old version was too monochromatic for my taste. Which one do you like more and why? Personally I like the new 2021 version better. I'm curios what is the general opinion about this. If you're interested check the screenshots below. I've seen a bunch of people saying they liked the old 2016 version better so I decided to make a small comparison of both.
